Primus Plus Day Centre
Primus Plus is managed by Disability Stockport who
took over the centre from Social Services in the summer of
2002. It is a user led day centre. All members have the
opportunity, each year, to be elected on to the Members
Committee. This committee communicates information
between members, Disability Stockport Director and the
Executive Committee.
We offer care and support for members with a physical or sensory disability to enable them to take part in a large variety of activities.
As a member of Primus Plus you have the choice of when you attend, you are able to change when you attend each time you make a booking (subject to the availability of places). By joining Primus Plus you also become a member of the Disability Stockport organisation, giving you the right to vote at its AGM.

Staff and Volunteers
We have a dedicated team of staff to give you the support and assistance you need to get the most out of your day. Also on hand is a team of volunteers. These are people from our local community who have decided to offer some time to support the activities we have on offer.
Activities
Computers - there is a suite of computers in the day centre. We have broadband
internet access and an e-mail service available for members to use.
Cookery - daily classes in an adapted kitchen give you the opportunity to learn how to cook – an ideal way to improve those independent living skills.
Arts and Crafts - there is a host of materials and equipment on offer to suit all abilities. Why not try painting on silk or glass or making handmade cards, knitting, beadwork, producing memory books or papier maché?
Wellbeing - how about trying Movement to Music, a gentle exercise class led by a specialist instructor or an Aromatherpy session might suit you better.
Photography - a lively club including the use of standard and digital cameras.
Sewing and Dressmaking - on offer we have sewing by hand or by machine. We have cross stitch or tapestry work to suit all levels or you can try dressmaking.
Day Trips - each month a trip is arranged to local places of interest or perhaps a meal at a country pub! Places can be limited but all members are given various opportunities to join trips throughout the year.
