We are always looking for new people to become members of the Management Committee and trustees of Disability Stockport.
Connect Plus Volunteers
Volunteer Leisure Companions are aged 16+ and provide support to Connect Plus members on leisure activities of their choice,
Individual Activities: accompany individual Members to activities or events they have chosen such as theatre, cinema, sporting events and eating out.
Group Activities: supporting individual members at group events such as ten pin bowling, karaoke,art and craft workshops and going to the pub. Day trips to safari parks, the seaside, museums and days out in the countryside and other places of interest are just some of the other group events you can enjoy.
Leyfield Primus Volunteers
Leyfield Primus is a day centre providing it's members with a varity of activities, volunteers are asked to support the members whilst they are at the centre
Advocacy Volunteers
There is a varity of opportunities for volunteers with this service and include citizen advocates and admin assistants supporting clients with their correspondence if they are unable to do this themselves.
Training for Volunteers
Volunteers are offered training so that they can provide competent support to members, this training includes Induction; Wheelchair Manouvering, First Aid and more ...
